There’s too much groupthink going on.

Last year just before the draft
Jeremiah, Brugler and Schraeger had us taking Mayer-TE in Rd 1.....he wasn't selected until Rd 2.

Kiper and McShay gave us Flowers. WR

And Wilson and Breer gave us Kincaid. TE

Zeirlein had the best pick with Joey Porter CB.

So whatever these same pundits have to say, they were all incorrect about the pick last year.

So the Chargers draft pick could be open for business-- will it be for Drake Maye or JJ McCarthy

First time NE GM is being pressured big time. If he doesn't take Maye and the guy succeeds probably in Minnesota he's going to get canned.
So in my opinion it's going to be McCarthy, even though NE does seem to like him, they take Maye.

Next question does Arizona stay pat and take MH2 or their GM who does like to get more picks trade down a few spots, say to the
Giants and still get a top 3 WR?

Is #11 and #23 enough for Hortiz? Maybe the Viking throw in a 4th rounder to sweeten the pot.

There is this guy named Mahomes. Recent history says it can't be done.

Recent history says Herbert can't outduel Mahomes anyway, so might as well take a different approach/strategy.

Ground/pound, control the clock, limit Mahomes' possessions, have Herbert try to make a play or two when it matters but no hero ball.

I think 11-23-108 gets it done.
They then can take a blue chip player at 11 and trade 23 for a haul for 2nd and 3rd round picks.
There are 5 teams in the 2nd round with 2 2nds…

Chargers could have 11, 2 2nds, 2 3rds, 3 4ths….

I'm holding out hope as much as anyone for MHjr but AZ has 11 picks, they don't need to trade down. I think they take him.
