It wouldnt suprise me if he has some trouble finding a roster next year and it wont be for big money. He might be brought in as a 3rd down back but not a starter.
    IMO Eckler was making some 'business decisions' out there . . . . . . . . . . . . Not always, but more than in the past.

If you noticed the receivers were really open...like the defense was frozen up or something who knows...i mean wide open...all that was needed was for Mahomes to throw them the ball.

      Conversely...Tua could not.

Grew up on the islands...big change.

Eckler's strength was his strength literally....he could lift some giant amount of weight compared to his size. Gain that extra yard sometimes..break tackles...But the effect of that...he was a bit stiff. And not that fast. And still he would get the ball stripped. He was better the first few years under Rivers catching the ball out of the backfield...that was his forte...but as a pure running back....he is a bit below average...Not worth big money. There are better options or were all these years.

The chargers just stopped looking...they prefer to "stay the course"..live in the past...with many things that that should not be "staying" the course on. Gotta be agile.

Man there is some HIGH LEVEL TE play in these playoffs.

we need a star tight end.

Nothing wrong with Brock Bowers, but I see the tape on Malik Nabers, and my jaw drops.

Good TE play and Oline play seems to be a clear advantage in the playoffs so far! Bowers or Joe Alt!?

No there isn’t - but imagine if we had drafted Kincaid last year and Nabers this year…

Hakuna matata, amigos. If you’re noticing the value of TEs - notice the EXTREME value of Brock Bowers. he is better than any TE anyone salivated over last year.

Not saying Nabers isn’t an enticing target, or Alt is not a solid anchor. They are fine picks and no disrespect. But I don’t project Nabers to be the best WR in the league and I don’t project Alt to be the best OT in the league. Bowers can be that guy at TE. He is faster than 95% of current starting TEs, he runs WR speed at 4.5. He blocks much better than the few that TEs that can run with him like Kincaid, brings a toughness and tenacity, has great hands, superior YAC, great zone defense gap understanding, complete route tree, I could go on all day with this kid/man.

As to the college vs pros argument - that applies to every draft pick, I’m not skilled enough to parse that out. I go with the info I have. If I can’t have him - I’d choose Nabers over Alt just for the explosion factor. I think OL can be solved but we are sorely lacking elite playmakers - jmho, ymmv. I don’t think he lasts to pick 8, every team knows what he’s bringing to the table imo.
