I don’t disagree with that, but… is the team better with Robinson or is it better with a first round edge rusher plus Ekeler?

We’ll see, ekeler has already done it in the NFL and robinson could very well end up being better, but that’s yet to be determined…

as for superstar backs, I look at jacobs and barkley and I’m thinking neither guy is going to get that big second contract…so why spend first round picks on players you will never consider giving a second deal to? Most any other position folks won’t second guess giving a large extension to if the player pans out, but with RBs? The biggest deal signed this offseason was less than the deal that the chargers gave ekeler 3 years ago…

I would take 6 insanely good RB years for a mid 1st rounder in a heartbeat.

                BTW.

did anyone see Hunter Henry drag NFL players down field?
Michael Mayer is the identical size/weight/speed/explosion/.......

His ceiling is Hunter Henry at #21.

                Mayer:
                Height/weight: 6'4.5"/249
                40 time: 4.71
                10 yard split: 1.66 s
                hand size: 9.5 "
                arm length: 31.5"
                vertical: 32.5"
                3-cone: 7.26

                Henry:
                Height/weight: 6'5"/250
                40 time: 4.68
                10 yard split: 1.60 s
                hand size: 9.25
                arm length: 32.75:
                vertical: 31.5"
                3-cone: 7.16 s

                Just say no, TT!

So four years of rookie deal, then one year of unhappy runner playing on his option, and then a sixth year of an even more unhappy runner playing on the franchise tag?

I wonder if any running back that goes in round one from now on will go in realizing that his rookie deal might literally be the biggest contract of his NFL life…

Many will just lurk and read todays action anyways. So i felt that page number would help show the break between our pre draft and actual draft day discussion. Since we are not doing individual draft day threads now outside of our drafted player threads.

Is this ok with you guys? Are we all on the same page with this new format? I want to make sure everyone here is stoked for this draft discussion tonight. Do you prefer we start a new discussion for the general draft? Or is this superthread cool?

                    Talk to me.
I'd prefer to have a separate page for each draft day to separate the extensive amounts of posts, but that's just me. It's easier to find a specific days posts when they're not all mixed in together.
Now, if you excuse me, I have some Charger memories to suppress.

I hear you. I just think its leaning the other way at this point. Its much easier for our server to handle the load of fewer threads that are large anyways. I expect the performance today to slow down a little as images and data keeps getting posted.

Maybe, maybe not. MGIII was supposed to be better than Eks too. We'll have to wait 5 years to answer this one.
