We just need to pony up and make a trade up for Mr. Sewell. My 2021 Adopt-A-Bolt List

My First real attempt to mock out the Chargers 2021 NFL Draft selections. Most all of the data points are in, as you will notice RAS (Relative Athletic Scores) offer a metrics angle to what is otherwise opinion based, predominantly dominated draft . Selections highly weighted off Charger needs and filling roster vacancies, while trying to look long term. In one season the Chargers could not only overhaul the OL they could become a dominant OL. CB/Secondary addressed and I also believe improved balance in the pass rush is needed to Bosa and loss of Melvin Ingram. Late picks developmental in key areas, Secondary, Tight End and Defensive Tackle. Enjoy! Ok go ahead, rip it apart, Lol.
# 13. Jaycee Horn, CB 6006 205 South Carolina Relative Athletic Ability (RAS) 9.99 out of 10.0
Chargers come away with Pro Bowl caliber CB, my favorite corner in this draft. Assuming both Sewell and Slater off the board.
# 47. Spencer Brown, OT 6082 311 Northern Iowa (RAS) 9.9
Hard one. Going with top available tackle with upside and measureables you seek in your future LT. Understand he is developmental, there will be pain, hopefully not for Herbert, but with veteran free agent additions he could get on a fast track to stability and improvements based off his hard work, desire and natural gifts.
# 77. Quinn Meinerz, OG 6027 320 Wisconsin Whitewater (RAS) 9.98
If you want to address interior OL with a young lion to develop as a starter with all the experience brought in via free agency this is the spot and the guy. Versatile can play LG/C/RG. These two offensive line picks early really set the bar for much better protection moving forward which is priority #1.
# 97. Milton Williams, DE 6030 284 Louisiana Tech (RAS) 9.96
Fast-rising defensive lineman who started the past two seasons. Smooth, rarely off his feet, and plays with outstanding pad level. Easily alters his angle of attack or redirects to the action. Strong for his size, stands up blockers, and makes plays against the run.
Fast getting to the flanks in pursuit of the action and effectively works his hands. Bends off the edge, quickly gets upfield, and moves fluidly in every direction. Athletic and agile.
#118. Jacoby Stevens, DB 6011 212 Louisiana State (RAS) 9.91
Plus size safety, best making plays in the box or up the field in place of coverage LB in two high safety scheme. Instinctive, plays heads-up football and does a good job with coverage assignments facing the action. Physical, works hard, and fires up the field defending the run. Breaks down well and works his hands to protect himself or get off blocks.
Sells out to make plays. Works well with cornerbacks to bracket receivers over the middle of the field. Gets his teammates in the secondary in proper position.
#159. Everson Smith, OLB 6062 252 (RAS) 9.72
Athletic pass rusher with terrific size and upside. Fires off the snap, shows flexibility, and plays with excellent pad level. Quickly changes direction, immediately alters his angle of attack, and chases the action in pursuit. Effectively uses his hands and slices inside blocks. Fluid when asked to twist or stunt, rushes the edge with speed, and keeps his feet moving.
#185. Marco Wilson, CB 5113 191 Florida (RAS) 9.96
Also performing exceptionally well @ Florida Pro Day, Marco showcased his superb athletic ability. See him primarily as a boundary corner who is physical enough for Staley style in secondary. Really tired to focus on depth @ cornerback/safety position, realize this may be going overboard but just a showcase for everyone to see/understand Chargers can retool their secondary later in this deep class.
#198. Sammis Reyes, TE 6053 260 International (RAS) 10.0
Raw, athletic, ideal measureable, worked out Florida Pro Day, of course Pitts was the showcase prospect but honestly, at least physically Reyes measured up. Make no mistake he is a flyer, but his ceiling is a starting NFL TE. Chargers need to develop someone while Cook plays his one season (maybe another if it works out well) by then Reyes could be polished up ready to start.
#241. Levi Onwuzurikke, DT 6027 290 Washington (RAS) 9.16
3 Tech DT gap penetrator, to develop add strength and mass to provide depth, eventually rotational starter. Tested exceptionally well decent explosiveness with elite elite speed, 4.85 forth and 1.68 10 yard split. Some point in this draft Telesco will address the interior DL to add depth and future replacement for Linval Joseph entering season 11.

Also, I love Sp. Brown but wouldn’t trust him to be Herbert’s blindside blocker without signing a vet stop gap at LT.
