EDGE prospects also go high. Phillips is a monster with a concussion history. If his medicals are a go, he’ll go top 10.

Hey let’s just set this scenario into reality and make most/every Charger fan happy.
Sewell @#13 and our full compliment of picks to still use.
Now hearing on GMFB (think Will Silva) that some NFL GMs are worried about the long term prognosis for Farley’s back. Let him fall to us in round 2.
I was high on Kwity but then found out he's not 6-4 he's only 6-2 with average arm length. Would've been nice if he had a legit 6-4 frame.

I find it *really* hard to believe that:

      1) Atlanta is not going to take a QB
      2) Sewell makes it past Cincy

So my (very uneducated) Top 5 picks are:

      1) Lawrence
      2) Wilson
      3) Jones
      4) Fields
      5) Sewell

And Miami, at #6, will take either Pitts or Chase. I think this draft really starts with the #7 pick.

Would you be fine with this hypothetical trade?

9:10 — Trade talks begin to heat up. Los Angeles Chargers GM Tom Telesco sees Penei Sewell fall to No. 7 and decides he has to pounce. The Chargers send their second-round pick (No. 47) this year, along with a third next year, to the Detroit Lions to move up six spots. They reunite Sewell with Justin Herbert and fill the biggest hole on their roster.

I’d make that trade in a heartbeat.

Is that enough capital to move up 6 spots? Seems like kind of a bad deal for the Lions. Not that I care about the Lions, but I've seen trade rumors for Sewell in which we have to surrender our #1 pick in 2022.

I don’t love giving up our second this year but I would do that 10/10 times to get Sewell.

The Bears gave up 2 3rd rounders, a 4th, and swapped up 1 spot in the first with the 9ers just to draft Trubisky over Mahomes and Watson. A 2nd and a 3rd for 6 spots? A steal.

The Pundits think that Fields is gonna drop out of the top ten and even Denver is gonna pass on Fields. I've heard that maybe the ravens might be interested in Fields. That would be a perfect trade for us at #13 as they see Lamar Jackson as a big question mark going forward.

If it’s #13 + our 2022 R1 (and no other picks), I’d still do it.

With that OL we’re a playoff team, so we’re probably talking about a pick in the 20s.

We have a rookie QB window, which means $$$ to spend. Our best opportunity to add immediate impact players in 2022 will be through FA, not the draft.

Maybe it means I favor instant gratification...but I would rather give up next years first, than a second this year...guess I've grown attached to a lot of these prospects, and want to make all our picks...

It's always a risk trading up for a LT any one recall Robert Gallery? I do so want Sewell but Tommy T's history with drafting oline is a bit concerning to begins with. I know what everyone says about generational talent and all but it seems everyone says "slam dunk" it's anything but.

Hopefully, if we trade up for Sewell he turns out better than Gallery...
