Herbert DOES NOT need another receiver. He needs a lineman who can keep him upright for another few seconds.
Wouldnt mind having more speed at WR.

I'm thinking we just spent 2 picks on WR last year, we're grooming 2 UDFA's as well this year.
No room for more WR when we're deplete of DB and OL.

Johnson, Guyton, and Reed aren't enough?
3 dude's that FLY should be sufficient, shouldn't it?

It's not that...if they let MW go they will need to fill with quality. Like I said if someone drops they like it's a possibility not a surety.

Looking at the Steelers cap situation - as usual they will be over the current estimated cap (meaning not dropped yet) by 20m. First priority for them would be to get TJ Watt signed long term. Granted, they did pick up his option so its not like they need to franchise him. Of course they will figure a way under the cap and sign some players. But JuJuSchu might not be their highest priority.

The Chargers have a 15.6m cap hit right now for Mike Williams. I think I would rather see if I can sign JuJuSchu - even if more expensive, than Mike Williams --on an AAV basis. . Durability, speed - he is from the area. Seems like a good fit. I like the thought

I know BeachComber mentioned JJS-S in another thread when thinking about how to better spend Mike Williams current 15+ cap hit. I am all for it

Same with Turner - if you can get a better player for similar dollars or cheaper -why not. Though I have a feeling the Chargers will look to extend Turner - lower his cap but keep him at RG. Though a guy like Feliciano might be available too. Thuney is probably out of the price range.

curious 'bout Turner's PFF rating for last night, as he dipped hard against Atlanta according to them, and as know some peoples here liked Trai's jousting w/some of the Raiders last night ??

from what eye can tell, he is not worth $11.5m, and just as importantly, there seems to be ready talent in both the draft and in FA to fill any void left by him ??

Herb n wu gotta convince TT, John S. and most importantly TPB.
Now that we're winning meaningless games (and falling toward #10 pick), DeVonta would certainly be in the conversation. I don't think there is much separation between Chase, Smith, Waddle, Bateman, and Moore. And Devonta might be my favorite...

                        9. Los Angeles Chargers (5-9): Caleb Farley, CB, Virginia Tech

The Los Angeles Chargers need help on the offensive line, but a good options are off the board. HEre, they go with secondary help.

With both Casey Hayward and Chris Harris set to hit free agency after the 2021 season, the Chargers do have some long-term concerns at the cornerback position. Additionally, with Hayward and Harris struggling this year, I don’t envision the team bringing either back.

With the offense already in place with standout rookie QB Justin Herbert, the team needs to fix their biggest weakness: their secondary. Virginia Tech’s Caleb Farley can step in right away and make an impact.
Chargers went from 5th to 9th, overnight. We traded down alright.
