Ohio State is putting together one heck of a recruiting class, but it’s not done yet. There are several big-time targets that seem to be leaning towards coming to Columbus. If all the guys that are reportedly ready to commit actually do, there’s almost no way Ryan Day and the Buckeyes won’t finish with a top-five class. But there’s one target that seems to have gotten away. Five-star cornerback Elias Ricks chose LSU over Ohio State and others back on Christmas Day, and since then, it looked as though Ricks was a lock to head to Baton Rouge. But things are a little more uncertain these days. The Ohio State staff believed they had a real shot at landing the defensive back before he committed, and it doesn’t appear as though it’s ready to give up on hope that a flip can be made. There’s a couple of reasons to believe Ricks is still in play. First of all, he’s very good friends with Buckeye DB commit Lejond Cavazos.
