I remember the horrible years we had in San Diego. Oakland is going through that same thing right now that we went through. But then we got a GM in John Butler who imo was underrated as far as a gm goes and got us Ladanian Tomlinson and drew brees in the same draft. Now obviously things worked out differently but my point is if you have the right people in place to make smart draft selections and get key people in free agency then everything else will fall into place. Unfortunately for the Raiders they don't have that person who can put players or even the right headcoach on the team to get them to the next level.
