    Anthony Lynn on Melvin Gordon: We’d like to have him back

    Photo by Alika Jenner/Getty Images The LA Chargers finished 28th in rushing yards and 23rd in yards per carry last season, featuring Melvin Gordon and Austin Ekeler at running back. Gordon held out and missed the first four games of the season, then returned to put up 612 yards on 162 carries, scoring eight times. Ekeler had 132 carries for 557 yards and three touchdowns but had 92 receptions for 993 yards. Despite Gordon’s lack of consistent production in the running game and the fact that the two sides could not come to a contract extension agreement prior to free agency, head coach Anthony Lynn said on Tuesday to PFT Live that the team believes there’s a chance that Gordon will return to the Chargers.
