    Chargers GM on Philip Rivers: 'He's not going anywhere'

    There was speculation that Philip Rivers might leave the Chargers when the team relocated from San Diego to Los Angeles back in 2017. That never really came to fruition. Instead, Rivers stayed put and led these Chargers to a surprising 12-win 2018 campaign. Even then, it remains to be seen how long the 37-year-old quarterback will remain under center for the Bolts. He’s set to become a free agent after the 2019 season and could very well decide to call it quits. Though, Chargers general manager Tom Telesco is having none of this talk, via ESPN.com's Eric D. Williams: “I can tell you he’s not going anywhere, so he’s going to be here. We’ll talk at the right point, as far as the moves we need to make in the offseason, the resources we have and how it all fits in. But yeah, he’s not going anywhere.” Rivers might be coming off the best season of his borderline Hall of Fame career.
