Chargers Workout Former Aztec CB Kameron Kelly

Chargers recently worked out the Senior Bowl invitee, per sources The Chargers recently worked out Senior Bowl-invitee and ex-Aztec cornerback Kameron Kelly, according to Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle. At 6-foot-2 and 200 pounds, Kelly possesses the size and length necessary to be a versatile player within any secondary. The Murphy, Texas native arrived on SDSU’s campus as an “athlete” and contributed right away during his freshman year. After playing three season at the “warrior” position, which is another name for safety, Kelly made the switch to cornerback prior to the 2017 season.
In his lone year on the outside, Kelly turned in a stellar performance that saw him earn first-team All-Mountain West honors, the Byron H. Chase Memorial Trophy (SDSU’s Defensive Player of the Year), and an invite to the 2018 Reese’s Senior Bowl in Mobile, Alabama.
At the NFL combine, however, Kelly was one of the underachievers of the weekend. Here are his measurements from Indy:
