COMMENTARY | The Kansas City Chiefs leaned on a record-pace pass rush to bolt out to a surprisingly fast start, as Tamba Hali and Co. racked up 35 sacks in the season's first seven weeks (all wins). Though the winning streak would eventually hit nine games, Kansas City notched just two sacks over its next five contests -- bringing an end to all of the chatter surrounding the Chiefs breaking the Chicago Bears' record of 72 sacks set back in 1984. The Chiefs went 2-3 during that stretch, with two of those losses coming at the hands of Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos. Kansas City has been hampered with injuries, however, as both Hali and Justin Houston -- who have combined for 22 sacks this season -- left in the first half of Week 12's 41-38 home loss to the San Diego Chargers (KC was up 14-3 at the time of their departure).
