Week 2 of NFL action is in the books and you have to wonder, what is with all the blowouts?
16 games from Thursday to Monday night and nine of them—more than half—were decided by 11 points or more. These included a 25-point wipe out of the Jets by Oakland. 16 points separated the victorious Patriots in New Orleans. How about those Dallas Cowboys? Smoked by 25 in Denver. Plus, Ezekiel Elliott gets lazy on an interception return while rushing for just eight yards.
For the record, I came up smelling like flowers again this week. Though, not quite as good as week No. 1—picking 10 winners out of 16 correctly. What follows is a very quick rundown of my post-game thoughts of each.
The Bengals are once again the “Bungals,” becoming the first team since 1932 to lose two straight home games and not score a touchdown. Up next is a visit to Green Bay. Yikes. The Texans, however, did come back strong after an embarrassing loss to the Jaguars.
