    Los Angeles Chargers Release Chris Landrum, Sign DE Whitney Richardson

    The Bolts have signed the reigning DII Defensive Player of the Year The Los Angeles Chargers welcomed a new addition to the team just in time for the last training camp practice still open to the public.
    The team has signed former Lane College (Tenn.) defensive end Whitney Richardson and released defensive end/outside linebacker Chris Landrum in a corresponding move.
    Richardson (6’4” 251 lbs.) comes to the Bolts as the reigning Division II Defensive Player of the Year. In his lone season with the Dragons, Richardson recorded 17.5 sacks, 75 tackles 32.5 tackles for loss, three forced fumbles, and one fumble recovery in only 10 total games.
    Landrum joined the team as an undrafted free agent a year ago out of Jacksonville State. During the 2016 season, he collected seven tackles, one sack, six pressures, and five QB hits in 10 games.
