Two days after criticizing the Texans' coaching staff following the team's loss to the Arizona Cardinals, Houston released safety Ed Reed on Tuesday. The Texans also announced they placed running back Arian Foster on injured reserve due to an ailing back that will require surgery. Reed, 35, was demoted and replaced by Shiloh Keo the past two games, losses to the Indianapolis Colts and Cardinals.
